TOMMASO BENNATO

Tommaso Bennato is a comic book artist and illustrator of Naples’s suburb.

In the 2004 he attends the Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Rome, where he specializes in the foreign comic. After he participates at many contest and art show and he gains the grant to go in Japan, to have a stage with the company Tokyo Animation Gakuin.

Then he starts to work: in a first moment for the publisher Kodansha (Japan) and then for the Marvel (USA) on a little story of Hulk, but it’s in the Belgian-French comics he finds more space to express his love for the drawing and the story-telling. He works with different publishers: Clair de Lune, Narratives, Delcourt.

During that period he moves to France, where he spends 4 years. Here he carries out some books of historic backgrounds such as “Les Sept Merveilles - L'étoile tombée sur la terre” e “L'homme de l'année T8 : -44 : L'homme qui voulut venger César”.

He collaborates also with the art studio of N.E.M.O. 360 as concept artist and character designer for videogames. Coming back to Italy he starts to work on a webcomic, written and drawn by him and Maria Riccio, called “Inarime”, published on Line Webtoon by Naver Corp (South Korea).

Then he joins also to then team of Caronte Studios as art director and designer for statues 3D. Now he is working on “La Couronne de Verre” with the publisher Éditions Delcourt .

Tommaso Bennato é um quadrinista e ilustrador do subúrbio de Nápoles, Itália.

Em 2004, ele frequenta a Scuola Internazionale di Comics em Roma, Itália, onde ele se especializa em histórias em quadrinhos estrangeiras. Depois de ele participar de vários concursos e mostras de arte, ele ganha uma bolsa para ir ao Japão, para fazer um estágio na empresa Tokyo Animation Gakuin.

Então ele começa a trabalhar: em um primeiro momento para a editora Kodansha (Japão) e depois para a Marvel (Estados Unidos da América) em uma pequena história do Hulk, mas é na história em quadrinhos franco-belga que ele encontra mais espaço para expressar seu amor pelo o desenho e a narração de histórias. Ele trabalha com diferentes editoras: Clair de Lune, Narratives, Delcourt.

Durante esse período, ele se muda para a França, onde ele passa 4 anos. Ali ele realiza alguns livros de fundo histórico como “Les Sept Merveilles - L'étoile tombée sur la terre” e “L'homme de l'année T8 : -44 : L'homme qui voulut venger César”.

Ele colabora também com o estúdio de arte de N.E.M.O 360 como concept artist e character design de videogames. Chegando de volta à Itália, ele começa a trabalhar em um webcomic, escrito e desenhado por ele e Maria Nigna Riccio, chamado “Inarime”, publicado em Line Webtoon por Naver Corp (Coréia do Sul).

Em seguida, ele se junta também à equipe da Caronte Studios como diretor de arte e designer de estátuas 3D. Agora ele está trabalhando em “La Couronne de Verre” com a editora Éditions Delcourt.
